Questions
What is Derovest?

Derovest is a technology company with two sides. It builds and owns its own software products — Mentivax, school management software, and PORTVAX, a no-code trading platform. It also provides technology services to other businesses: software development, technology staffing, business automation, SEO optimisation and server cost reduction.

What does Derovest do?

Two things. It builds its own products, and it does technology work for other companies. The service work covers building software, supplying and screening technology professionals, automating repetitive business processes, improving search visibility, and cutting server costs. Most engagements sit in one of those areas.

What products does Derovest make?

Two. Mentivax is school management software covering fees, student records, attendance, WhatsApp parent communication and reporting. PORTVAX is a no-code platform for building, backtesting and automating trading strategies. Both are built, owned and run by Derovest rather than for a client.

What services does Derovest offer?

Five. Software development covers web applications, business software, custom systems, MVPs and maintenance. Technology staffing covers contract professionals and technical screening for permanent hires. Business automation removes repetitive manual work such as data entry, reporting and spreadsheet workflows. SEO optimisation covers technical SEO, site structure and page speed. Server cost reduction cuts cloud and hosting bills with changes staged so the service stays up.

Who does Derovest work with?

Software and technology companies needing development capacity or technical hiring support; startups needing an MVP or engineering without a full team; and non-technology businesses wanting repetitive manual work automated. The work is remote, so location is rarely a constraint.

Is Derovest a software company, a staffing company, or an automation agency?

None of those on their own. We build software, help companies find and screen technology people, automate repetitive business processes, improve search visibility and cut server costs — and we build our own products alongside that. Most engagements start in one area and stay there.

Do you only work with technology companies?

No. Software companies and startups usually come to us for development capacity or technology talent. Non-technology businesses usually come to us for automation — they have processes eating hours every week and no internal team to fix it.

How does the staffing model work?

Client requirement, then recruitment partner, then initial screening, then shortlisting, then your interview, then hiring. Recruitment agencies can supply the candidate pool; we help with the technical screening so that only suitable candidates reach your interview stage. We are not trying to replace recruitment partners.

Do you guarantee you will find the best candidate?

No, and be careful with anyone who does. What we can do is make sure candidates have been screened by someone who can actually assess the technical work, so your team spends its interview time on people worth interviewing.

We are not a technology business. Can automation still help us?

Usually, yes. You do not need to become a technology company to benefit from technology. If your team repeatedly does the same manual task — retyping data, rebuilding a report, chasing approvals — that is normally something software can take over.

How do you price work?

Software projects are scoped and priced in writing before work starts. Staffing is priced according to the engagement model. Automation work is quoted once we understand the process, because quoting it before that would be guesswork.

Who owns the software you build?

You do. Code, documentation and accounts are yours, in your own repositories and logins. There is nothing you have to stay subscribed to in order to keep your own process running.

Can we use Mentivax or PORTVAX?

Mentivax runs a free pilot for schools with no credit card needed, and quotes about a week to go live. PORTVAX is free through its beta, with early access sign-up open — some parts of it are still marked coming soon. Both have their own sites, linked from our products page.

How do we start?

Tell us what you need help with — software, technology people, or a repetitive process. A short conversation is usually enough to work out whether there is something worth doing and what it would take.
